We caught up with voice actor Eric Bauza to get the scoop on Nickelodeon’s new animated reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, coming to a TV near you this September. The prolific actor plays father figure/sensei/trainer/ratman Master Splinter in the series that is throwback in its hand-drawn animation style but all-new in its use of technology, embrace of the multiverse, and light comedic tone.

We toured the immersive TMNT activation at the Nickelodeon booth on the exhibition floor at Comic-Con International and got to ask Eric about the new show, his approach to an iconic character, and- the defining question of several generations- who’s his favourite Turtle?
