AT&T makes TV shows now. That may be a sign of the corporate apocalypse but, to hell with it, Mr. Mercedes (a new serial killer drama adapted from a Stephen King trilogy) is fantastic and I’m choosing not to worry too much about its cell phone company host.

I caught up with director Jack Bender and members of the incredible ensemble to talk about the show, the characters’ complex psychology, and why viewers should tune in for the premiere on August 9th (which you all should, it’s one of the best pilots I’ve seen in ages).
